LMS Angel - Barbara Maravelias
December 20, 1951 - June 15, 2009
"Pinkness" was a beloved wife, mother of 2 sons, sister, aunt, friend and confidant to many in her life. She had a love of life and fought hard for it to end.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, many friends and helping out at St. John Chrysostomos Monastery. Her love for everyone and everything around her showed in her vibrant personality. She loved sewing beautiful clothes, and liked to feed everyone in her sight with her wonderful Greek cooking! She always had something to give, whether it was a homemade gift or just some good advice...she knew what you needed and gave it.
Barbara's light never dimmed over the 8 long years that she fought this awful disease. Her heart was gold and shone bright until the day she left us. She will never be forgotten and her memory will live on in her family for generations to come.
"She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels, by the clouds and stars and passes where no one sees. She walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting, and I know she's smiling, saying "don't worry 'bout me." -Alan Jackson
