LMS Angel - Angela D'Aguanno Dow
October 29,1946 - March 22, 2010
This woman was a Daughter, Sister to 7 siblings, a Mother to 2, a Nonna to a Little Princes and a Princess, a friend to everyone and a Mother figure to me. Her name was Angela D'Aguanno Dow.
I can't help but want to reach out for a cause for awareness. Our family witnessed and lost a special link to our family on March 22, 2010. Her battle lasted 3 1/2 years after being diagnosed with cancer, our family had never heard of. Immediately she was told it was inoperable, resulting in her starting chemo within a week. The name of the cancer is LeioMyoSarcoma, also called LMS. Its an extremely rare and agressive cancer that constitutes about four in every million cancer cases. Tumors tend to grow large and fast. There is no cure at the present time and remission is difficult to attain. Awareness is critical to helping these patients.
